Kangaroo Valley Craft Beer & BBQ Festival 2017

It seemed like every body and their dog came out to play; at this year's Kangaroo Valley Craft Beer & BBQ Festival. Celebrating a mix of local breweries with some serious flame grill, slow smoking action the day was a great success running from Saturday the 18th Nov-Sunday 19th Nov.

The Beers

Held at the iconic The Friendly Inn Hotel, the Kangaroo Valley Craft Beer & BBQ

Festival featured brews from :

Turning the crystal cold waters of the snowy mountains into liquid gold was the team from Tumut River Brewing Co. producing a quirky and unique range of brews from a smoky porter (Portstar) and the refreshing alcoholic ginger beer appropriately dubbed the " Ginger Ninja".

Southern Highland favourite Eden Brewery from Mittagong had a selection of their bespoke creations that take their inspiration from head brewer Jacob's Texan heritage and traditional German beer style techniques.

The Food

No freshly poured cold one is complete without a side of BBQ cooked meats, with several bbq's in action over the two days including Brazillian Flame, Nomad Kitchen and BBQ, and many more. Unfortunately, the competing barbeques were not allowed to sell their goods, but it was well worth checking out the variety of different smokers, grillers and cooking styles.

With pig racing and helicopter joy rides, the day offered something for everyone including the little ones. Fans are already looking forward to seeing whats in store for the Kangaroo Valley Craft Beer & BBQ Festival 2018 lineup.
